About ECT
Ellington Community Theatre began in 2014 with a production of "Honk! Jr." With a cast of 25 children, we sold out 3 performances in a church basement! With encouragement from the families, we decided to expand the next summer to produce a full show, "Seussical!"and to open the cast up to all ages. We followed that with a production of "The Music Man" in 2016 with a cast ranging in age from 5 - 55. In 2017 we expanded our cast and doubled our audience with our production of "Annie!"
2018 began a new chapter as we incorporated into a 501c3 (nonprofit) organization. Our production of Peter Pan involved 95 cast members, and reached an audience of almost 1500!
2019 brought us a stellar performance of "The Wizard of Oz" and we hope to hit the ground running in 2021!
Our Mission
We aim to create a high quality theatre experience for both participants and the audience. Our staff and volunteers work hard to provide cast and crew members of all ages and abilities with the opportunity to learn and grow within an Intergenerational community.
