We are thrilled that our 2023 production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast was nominated for several Broadway World Connecticut Awards, including:

About ECT


​Ellington Community Theatre began in 2014 with a production of "Honk! Jr." With a cast of 25 children, we sold out 3 performances in a church basement! With encouragement from the families, we decided to expand the next summer to produce a full show, "Seussical!" and to open the cast up to all ages. We followed that with a production of "The Music Man" in 2016 with a cast ranging in age from 5 - 55. In 2017 we expanded our cast and doubled our audience with our production of "Annie!"
2018 began a new chapter as we incorporated into a 501c3 (nonprofit) organization. Our production of Peter Pan involved 95 cast members, and reached an audience of almost 1500! 
2019 brought us a stellar performance of "The Wizard of Oz" and the beginning of what would become a worldwide pandemic. As a result, ECT paused our signature full-scale productions and performed a "Covid Cabaret" in the summer of 2021. By 2022, we were back up and running, and produced our most ambitious show to date- Disney's Newsies! After a successful summer 2022 run, we're excited to be back in rehearsals for an equally spectacular production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast.
