About Ellington Community Theatre
Ellington Community Theatre (ECT) began in 2014 with a production of Honk! Jr. A cast of 25 children sold out 3 performances in a church basement! With encouragement from the families, we decided to expand the next summer to produce a full show and to open the cast up to all ages. Seussical took the stage in 2015. We followed that with a production of The Music Man in 2016, with a cast ranging in age from 5 - 55. In 2017 we expanded our cast and doubled our audience with our production of Annie.
We began a new chapter in 2018 as we incorporated into a 501c3 (nonprofit) organization. That summer, our production of Peter Pan involved 95 cast members and reached an audience of almost 1,500! 2019 brought us a stellar performance of The Wizard of Oz and the beginning of what would become a worldwide pandemic. As a result, we paused our signature full-scale productions and performed a COVID Cabaret in the summer of 2021. By 2022, we were back up and running, and produced our most ambitious show to date - Disney's Newsies!. We hit the ground running again in 2023 and were proud to present an equally spectacular production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast. This production earned us several award nominations and set us up for a successful run of Guys & Dolls in the summer of 2024. We are proud to be bringing Matilda to the local stage in the summer of 2025.

Our Mission
We aim to create a high quality theatre experience for both participants and the audience. Our staff and volunteers work hard to provide cast and crew members of all ages and abilities with the opportunity to learn and grow within an inter-generational community.
